Traffic Management Planner

Based in either Invercargill, Dunedin, Cromwell or Oamaru, SouthRoads is looking for an experienced Traffic Management Planner to join our team and make a real impact on how we keep New Zealand moving. This role is your chance to combine technical expertise with creativity, ensuring our projects meet the highest safety and compliance standards.

As part of our team, you will:

Develop risk-based Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and manage Corridor Access Applications (CAAs)
Collaborate with contract teams to design and implement safe and effective temporary traffic management solutions
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and processes, delivering high-quality outcomes every time

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

STMS Cat A & B Non-Practicing experience (minimum requirement)
TTMP Practicing certification - not essential but highly regarded. Proficiency with Rapid Plan software
Strong knowledge of temporary traffic management requirements and the applicable regulations and submission processes
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to prioritizing health and safety
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Experience using Submitica and My Worksites systems is an advantage
