Dane has been with SouthRoads since 2016 and has specialised as Otago Civil and Drainage Divisional Manager. Dane is a natural problem solver and enjoys working in civil engineering, as you complete physical projects that will be around for years. It’s rewarding to stand back and say you helped build something.
Dane has a Diploma in Civil Engineering, which he completed in 2008. Since then, he has gained experience on the ground working in drainage trenches for a year. From there, he went on to work with the Dunedin City Council for three years in transport. In 2013, Dane moved to Christchurch, project managing the construction of large scale subdivisions, along with other roading, drainage, and site works projects.
Dane thinks SouthRoads is a great environment to work in as there’s a good variety of work and he finds it rewarding to help clients by coming up with a solution and seeing ideas through to their physical completion. His passions outside of work are free diving, spearfishing, and underwater hockey. When not in the water, you’ll find Dane spending time with his young family.
