SouthDrill Limited is a newly established Southland based business and is part of the HW Richardson Group of Companies.  SouthDrill is a specialist drilling company, operating throughout the Southland and Otago regions.  We specialise in the development and maintenance of commercial, domestic and rural water bores and construction piling.

We have imported the latest in technology by purchasing a 30 tonne Schramm T555 drilling rig. It has the capability of drilling down to 350m and up to a diameter of 300mm.

We have recently purchased a Caldweld 250B Piling Rig which is specifically designed for the construction of bored piles from 450mm to 2.4m diameter and used for the construction of bridge piles, power pylon foundations and building foundations down to a depth of 30m. This rig is also capable of completing driven piles for building foundations. The drilling and piling rigs in conjunction with the drill operators are capable of delivering all of Southland’s water bore and piling requirements efficiently and in a timely manner.

SouthDrill have the experienced team of Maurice and Evan Pascoe who have specialist knowledge in all aspects of drilling and piling. They operate the rig and between them have more than 45 years experience drilling specifically in the Southland and Otago Region.
